HIGH STANDARDS IN THE DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING OF HAZARDOUS WASTES
Hazardous waste must be disposed of safely and securely by and approved contractor. Taylors site in Altens is a PPC Licensed Hazardous Waste Transfer Station and is fully equipped for the collection, segregation, treatment and disposal of hazardous wastes in our recently refurbished special waste area. Collection is available from your site and will be transported to our site by Taylors approved vehicles and trained drivers. Taylors can also accept deliveries of Hazardous / Special Waste from clients premises or direct from offshore in skips / containers.
All waste arriving to the site is sampled and tested by one of our chemists to ensure compliance with the documentation prior to being segregated for treatment and/or offsite transfer.
Over 90% of all Hazardous Waste handled is recovered / recycled.

Other segregated storage areas are also available for lead, alkaline and lithium batteries, and clinical/infectious waste. Our multi-functional facility also hosts plastic and metal drum crushing, fluorescent tube and oil filter crushing, and a dedicated tank cleaning and wash bay area.

CHEMICAL IDENTIFICATION AND PACKAGING SERVICE
Taylors can offer experienced technicians to help identify and package waste – no matter what the volume. Our technicians can also provide a packaging service for chemical clearances where they will segregate, package and label all chemicals to a standard suitable for transportation and finally disposal/recycling.
We provide a waste identification service where an experienced technician can take samples of any volume of material to identify a suitable disposal/recycling route.
We will also provide a technician to help list waste for disposal; this will ensure all waste is correctly consigned, which will eliminate the risk of any non-conforming wastes being sent from site.
