Taylors can provide a service maintaining onsite drainage systems this includes, cleaning and emptying of foul water interceptors and drains and also the cleaning and emptying of surface water interceptors, drains and gullies and unblocking drains.

Interceptors are designed to catch hydrocarbons and silts and allow the water phase to pass through and discharge to the foul or surface water drain – any other materials that are miscible in water will pass right through the interceptor – this may result in a breach in discharge consents, this is regulated by Scottish Water who have the ability to impose fines – therefore to minimise risks, Taylors can provide a fully integrated interceptor cleaning, emptying and sampling service to ensure compliance with your discharge consents.

Taylors have been providing this service for over 40 years and therefore have a vast knowledge and experience in carrying out interceptor cleaning for clients, over the years we have invested heavily in equipment for providing the most efficient and reliable service including;

The equipment utilised can clean and empty all phases from Interceptors including, oils, waters and silts and return this to our Water Treatment Plant for a fully traceable and auditable treatment route. This full treatment route is unique to Taylors and ensures that all phases of interceptor wastes are treated within the correct legal manner.

Furthermore, as Taylors have a full treatment process for interceptor wastes, clients should rest assured that once Taylors have emptied or cleaned interceptors onsite all waste has been removed and interceptors should be functioning correctly.

Further to cleaning interceptors Taylors can also provide a service for cleaning drains and gullies onsite – the regular cleaning of such drains will ensure they are fully functional and minimise the risks of blocked drains that can results in unnecessary risks onsite such as flooding. This is a popular service and is carried out by our trained personnel in areas ranging from yard to car parks.

Taylors can also provide a service for unblocking of drains in yard and car parks at short notice to minimise disruption caused by such problems.
