Taylors Environmental Village taylors-environmental-village

Spring 2008 saw the grand opening of Taylors’ purpose built recycling centre as part of its Environmental Village at the Easter Hatton landfill site in Aberdeenshire. The extended facility is double that of what was previously on the site – a major investment in the region of £3.5 million illustrates our long-term commitment to the Aberdeenshire region. This facility gives us the increased capacity to handle our clients’ recyclable dry waste materials and minimise volumes going to landfill.

The all encompassing dry waste collection, sorting, segregation and recycling service operated at the site has the ability to handle and process 31,000 tonnes of material per year. From industrial to commercial dry waste, our staff run a seamless collection, processing and recycling service for this first rate facility.

As part of Taylors ongoing environmental improvement plans, the new purpose built facility has incorporated a new recycling centre with state of the art equipment – the first of its kind to be placed on the gate of a landfill site to divert waste from landfill.   Furthermore this facility has many unique features to help minimise effects on the environment, such as rain water harvesting which is used for washing our vehicles.

We are always delighted to welcome clients to tour the site by prior appointment so they can see why we are so proud of this new asset.
